If your child is, for whatever reason, unable to attend class, it would be appreciated if notification can be made no later than the Friday prior to class. This allows full class preparation to be made.
If you do not make notification by at least the Friday prior to Saturday classes, your child will not be entitled to attend the make-up class for free in the future. Please contact me should you have any questions.

That’s right, term 4 is all about the end of year concert.
Students get the opportunity to perform on stage in front of their friends and family. Last year the audience must have been close to 100 deep. There will be monologues, tragedy, tears and off course laughter. And it will be so much fun. Actors act to entertain and getting out there in front of a full house, no matter how nerve-racking, is where the magic happens and a love for performing truly develops.
Students will be required to be available for all the dress rehearsal, pre-performance rehearsal and the concert.

Unbelievably term three is coming to an end. Where has the year gone?
The last class of term means students showcase there talents in the end of term performance for friends and family.
This term has been challenging. Students have looked at how conflict is needed to build a story. They have explored themes of bullying and coping with change.
Cluster 3 has been developing a play, which is a work in progress for the end of year concert, about bullying and how it affects people. Through their exploration of this theme they have begun to develop a play, which shows how the influence of good and kindness can change someone.
Next week you will see them perform a rehearsed improvisation. This means there is no script to learn. They have an outline and will be playing using natural impulse to work through the scene. A very creative term.
Cluster two has been working much the same and their performance will set a similar structure. Learning about tragedy and different types of conflict which appear in all stories, they have used their personal experience to create an amazing and beautiful play. Next week you will get a taste of what you might see in the end of year concert.
And then we find ourselves in Candy land. It’s every kids dream to find themselves in a world full of lollies. But what happens when you get stuck there? Cluster 1 has used their creative skills to develop a fun and adventures play. It will be performed as a rehearsed improvisation that is bound to leave a smile on the audience face.
Cluster 3 – 9.40am Saturday 21 September 2013
Cluster 2 – 10.40am Saturday 21 September 2013
Cluster 1 – 11.40am Saturday 21 September 2013
On Saturday we watched students perform in their end of term shows.
Hayden and Kirsti, Cluster 3, did an amazing job developing characters and producing monologues based on specific themes they had chosen this term. Their performance was fantastic. Nerves is a thing of the past for these two students. If they were nervous, you couldn’t tell. They used their intuition and took risks in the performance. Stars in the making!
Cluster 2′s performance was right up there with Pirates of Panzance. Captain Brussel, played by Billy, led his crew, Jenna, Milly, Miranda, Luke and Anna, to an unknown end. Everyone stood out in this entertaining comedy.
Cluster 1′s performance has been postponed and will be rescheduled for the second class in term 3.
Term 3 is now enrolling. If you are returning next term and you haven’t already let me know, please send me an email to reserve your child’s spot.
If you know anyone who may have children that would benefit from drama classes please share my details with them.
Happy and safe holidays to all. And I’ll see you acting in term 3.
